I don’t even know how I discovered the Zero Waste Store (https://zerowastestore.com/). But, somehow I did. I guess it was kismet or something. Full disclosure here, for years I used dobies for my dishwashing, and I liked them. But once they had outlived their usefulness, I tossed them in the wastebasket without so much as a backwards glance. But, I now know better. I am moving away from plastic toward something a little more Earth-friendly.
If you go on their site, you will discover a myriad of household and personal products. Yes, they are going to cost more than their dollar store counterparts, but I would prefer to use items that are not going to be around a thousand years from now. Plus, they treat their workers fairly and compassionately. They work six hours a day, five days a week and are off all holidays. The scrubbers are vegan and natural, made from coconut waste, one tree is planted for every item sold. And they will not scratch your pots and pans. These are definitely a move in the right direction. I’m even going to put one in my soap dish to keep my soap from getting “soupy”.
Thanks for stopping by,
Cindy
