Will wonders never cease! My husband bought a six-pack of Fat Tire beer yesterday. I’m no connoisseur of beer, but I will read any piece of packaging that crosses my path. I don’t know if it’s an obsession or what, but here I am, reading the bottom of a six-pack of beer. According to their missive, in their brewing process Fat Tire beer has been working to recapture heat and conserve energy. Recently their brewers suggested they use raw barley in their recipe. Further investigation revealed that this substitution would further reduce their greenhouse emissions. Fat Tire is striving constantly to reduce the energy they use, and offset their their remaining emissions. Their goal is to earn carbon neutral certification. They have been alternatively powered since 1991. No small feat.
This is not meant to be a commercial for Fat Tire beer, but if you are going to enjoy a beer, you might as well enjoy one that will help make the world a better place.
